Well - Its been awhile since I've taken the time to reflect on anything this year. Its June and getting terribly hot here in Arizona. The dogs are lazy in this heat and I'm certainly not motivated to do anything outside. We can't wait till it cools off! I started taking Malek to the river beginning of this year, copying our good friend Joy! And of course, because it incorporates Malek's three favorite things in the world [Frisbees, Water and Joy] it has become her absolute favorite thing to do. Once it cools off we will back there! Lets see, last December my Faux Paw died. We are down to two dogs and 1 kitty. My remaining cat: Phinney is very sad to have lost her life long mate. I've tried everything [short of bringing home a new kitty] to make her happy. I have changed the dogs diet to an 'ALL RAW MEAT' diet. I'm going through a reputable company who has very high standards [along with a high price tag.] However, it should outweigh the cost of the vet because my dogs appear to be healthier, and happier with their new food. Well, that's about it. Work is the same - dogs are happy. Kitty not so happy....But all is well :)

Well - I haven't 'blogged' in awhile. I thought I'd get down a few thoughts. I woke up this morning at 2:30 a.m, one leg resting on the ground and very uncomfortable. I wondered for a moment how long I had slept that way.....and by the looks of my 'all-to-comfortable' bulldogs a few feet away [taking up an ungodly amount of space and snoring soundly,] I concluded I had spent the majority of the night half on the bed / half on the floor. I rushed through my morning prep which included wiping out dog ears, remaking dog beds[laundered sheets,] playing Frisbee in the dark, finding collars, coaxing a very sick cat to eat [unsuccessfully,] chasing a very unruly male bulldog who won't let me put ointment in his eye, and trying to fit in a shower. Boy what a morning! And then my day was spent worrying about the upcoming vet bills for the cat, running out of organic 'super expensive-must be made out of gold' dog food, and a dishwasher that has been broken since Jan. I don't see an end to my animal expenses - and often wonder if I should change all their names to: 'new car I'll never own' 'expensively decorated chic home that won't ever be' ' trip to an all organic grocery store that hasn't happened in 4 years' and finally 'a flippen few beauty items and highlights for my hair I can't afford!' OK - that felt better :) A little 'blog venting' won't hurt anyone. And don't tell my animals I had a momentary lapse in reason. Because when it comes right down to it - I wouldn't change them, or our situation for the world. Without them I'd have that stupid new car that would eventually become old, a very presentable 'empty' home, money I'd mismanage anyway........and awesome looking hair! They are my much loved band of rag-tag companions! Over and Out!

Grettings - I'm blogging for the 2nd time this weekend. I like the page I've put together but look forward to downloading templates ect. I'm at the end of a 3 day weekend and once again, I marvel at my inactivity for 3 straight days! My house is still disorganized - and very little has been accomplished. But I have caught up on some much needed sleep - to much in fact. I took a nap today and ended up zonked out for almost 4 hours. Won't be going to sleep anytime soon tonight. Nothing new on the Bulldog front. The dogs love having me home all weekend. I can tell they settle down more and seem more relaxed and playful. My Frisbee champ caught every frisbee I've thrown the last couple of days. She is amazing! I did end up throwing a few more on the roof - and will need to either go buy some more....or drag the ladder out of the garage. That's it - start my work week tomorrow....Starting a new exercise program Friday [no guarantees!] and will start babysitting for one of my closest friends next Tuesday [every Tuesday] so she can go back to school. I'm ending this so I can continue watching this new show 'call 911' on Investigative Discovery I.D. Its pretty good - you can hear how other dispatchers from other agencies handle their calls/emergency situations. They interview the citizens as well and is almost surreal to hear them express their gratitude towards the emergency response system. Dispatchers don't hear this enough! OK - over and out!

Well - Here I am! Never in a million years did I think I would create my own personal blog/my space account/itsallaboutme.com, or whatever these things are called. I'm not sure what purpose this will achieve - other than allowing my friends and family to know what I'm doing on a regular basis [not a fan of the phone!] HI FRIENDS AND FAMILY. All 3 of you! :) I will admit that as goofy as it sounds I do like the idea of show casing my bulldogs [and kitties!] They are worthy of a proper forum. A place where they can simply express themselves - and share with the world their simple and elegant perfection! Their names are Tobias, otherwise known as 're-re' 'big daddy' 'stink a**' 'I can't run a straight line to save my life,' Malek, otherwise known as 'Big Girl' 'Frisbee Champ' 'Best Dog Ever,' Faux Paw [pretty self explanatory,] otherwise known as 'I hate dogs' and 'I eat paper if your ignoring me!' Finny - who is feral and a rescue. I've had her for 9 years now and she doesn't really have any other known names. Her name began as 'Faith' [many who know me would find this ironic.] And at the time I couldn't stand the name. I changed it to Finnegan originally because she reminded me of an Irish 'under-dog' or 'cat' and an animal that has fought for her very existence from the beginning. Honestly, I don't think she will ever stop fighting. But now, I wish I could change it back to Faith! I guess it wouldn't matter - she doesn't come to me anyway or seem to differentiate between the vast amount of animal names flying around my house! And many who know me will notice I change the spelling of my animal names from time to time [especially the cats.] It is my prerogative. It is also a symptom of getting old and refusing to take vitamins and I simply can't remember how I chose to spell it the day before. There - that's my first confession of the blog. OK - I'm done!
